 Primary and Non-Formal Education
Research and Consultancy inputs to various government and donor agencies in achieving both primary formal and non-formal education to realise the goal of Universalisation of Elementary Education (UEE), by assisting planning and management of strategies, for expanding and improving primary education. Research inputs to increase the access, quality and equity in basic education, by supporting a number programmes such as Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Mid-day Meal, NPEGEL, Shiksha Karmi Project, District Primary Education Programme, ECCE etc., have been duly recognized by various agencies.
Conducted studies related to drop-out, enrolment, attendance and learning achievement levels of the students and highlighted the need for bridging the social, regional and cultural gaps among them.
Research studies have successfully led to introduction of community participation and innovative practices and approaches by both government and non-government agencies.
Teacher Education related studies helped NFE agencies to target the 'out of school' children effectively and enabled the development of up gradation of teachers' pedagogical skills and competence.
Extends help to improve the quality of teacher education, curricula, learning assessments and the classroom environment and strongly advocates gender-sensitive and child-centred processes along with interactive learning to make teaching and learning a joyful experience.
